Cofindustria Vibo Valentia
Confindustria Vibo Valentia is one of the Local Chapters of the Italian association Confindustria.
In particular Confindustria Vibo Valentia pursues the following goals:
– It represents the member companies in the interactions with local authorities, labor unions and other external actors;
– It safeguards the rights of member companies in matters related to production, economic development and labour;
– It collects and diffuses data and information related to industrial matters and provides consultancy services to the member companies.
A total of about 340 companies, employing a total of more than 3150 workers, are members of Confindustria Vibo Valentia. It is a SMEs based system. About 99% of member companies employ fewer than 250 workers. The members of Confindustria Vibo Valentia belong to several industrial sectors, the main ones being agro-industrial, mechanical, constructions, tourism.
Cluster Experience
In recent years Confindustria Vibo Valentia promoted a cluster in the agro-industrial and touristic sector. Promotion , communication and sales campaigns were launched . The aim was to create synergies and to promote the image of the sector at the national and international level.
Confindustria Vibo Valentia also promoted a cluster in the metalworking sector. The companies in the cluster have started the feasibility study for a common service centre for the whole supply chain. The project is under development.
Expectations from CADIC
From CADIC Confindustria expects the creation of a scientifically sound methodology able to support the existing cluster and to help in developing new ones.
